What better way to celebrate our book’s anniversary than to run… Then, I came up with a much more fun idea to go with the audio clip of chapter five. Soon, I’d be formatting it into the book and then sending it off to publication!Ī year later, I realized our story’s anniversary was approaching, and I thought of hosting another book giveaway.
Then, she came up with an idea after playing around with the design features on Canva: what if we did graphic designs to illustrate the book? And not just to illustrate the scenes, but also the chapter headings? She played around with the designs and we fell in love with it. Amy wasn’t loving the hand drawn sketches she was doing, and for some reason, it didn’t fit with the story. A dream XD) But wait, I thought! Why just stop there? Why not create a second surprise?īut before I tell you what it is (I know, I know, I’ll get to it soon! Promise!), I’d like to take a quick trip down memory lane.Īfter writing and editing An Apprentice Escapes, we (meaning my family and I, lol.) decided that the book needed illustrations. Alas, my dream of winning an Oscar shall remain just that. Now *cough* I’m not the best narrator ever, but it was super fun to make the clip (minus my slightly tired voice, to which I apologize. First off, remember back when I celebrated 50 subscribers, and I asked for suggestions on what to do? Well, one of you suggested doing an audio clip of one of my stories, and I thought ‘Hey, why not do it for An Apprentice’s Escapes anniversary?’
